A poignant fiction covering the life events of three women Kamla, Helga and Lynette narrated via letters which are read by their granddaughters Maya, Rebecca and Tanya respectively.


The tragic life experiences depicts a vast number of exploitation and oppression against women.One will get to know and understand the hardships that women endure by being always subservient to men.Each line was filled with agony,pain and eternal torment. 


An alternate angle of trauma endured by women during the times of historical tragedies of the 1943-Bengal famine, Hitler’s Holocaust and the 1958-Notting Hill race riots where are the main theme of the book.

Hats off to the author for showcasing the real ideology of feminism.Appreciations for creating this brilliant masterpiece.
